Learn To Swim
Affiliated with the Lifesaving Society's 6- level learn to swim program, Vero Beach Swim Club is proud to bring you reputable and invested lessons making sure the needs of all individual students are met. With 5:2 and 4:2 class ratios, each student will receive the instruction they need for success. A combination of private and group instruction within the same class covering the learn to swim program and relevant water safety.
$160+HST per 8 week session beginning in March 2023! Check back early February for registration updates! 45 minute classes with a low student to instructor ratio.
Adult Classes
It is never to late to learn how to swim! A 4-session process (8 months, comfort depending) to take you through the stages of learning to swim as an adult. From an introduction to floating and safe entering/exiting of the pool all the way through to lengths of your favourite strokes! Come as you are, no experience necessary.
$120+HST per 8 week session beginning evenings on January 9th, 2023. 45 minute classes with a low student to instructor ratio.
Aquafit Classes
Keep active and safe with in water aerobic classes. Classes taught by certified and experienced instructors will work on your endurance, strength, and mobility while ensuring that all exercise is low-impact. Students must have prior water experience and be comfortable submersed in shallow water at minimum. A variety of assists and equipment will be used to maximize your activity!
$80+HST per 8 week session beginning evenings on January 12th, 2023. 1-hour classes jam packed with energy and exercise!
Fitness Classes
Two types of fitness classes are currently being offered at the Montgomery Mills Recreation Centre. A stretch class and a Glutes and Abs classes are offered on Thursday evenings beginning early 2023. If you are finding yourself in need of mobility improvement, cardiovascular exercise, or building and toning muscle, we have a class for you. Find time for yourself and commit to your health!
Two- month sessions are $8 per class, billed monthly.
Aquatic Leadership
Students who have successfully completed the 7 - level learn to swim program are equipped with the necessary skills to begin aquatic leadership classes. Again, affiliated with the Lifesaving Society of Ontario, students will move through a variety of prerequisite courses that will lead them into teaching or lifeguarding. The job market for young adults in aquatics over the last 2 years has seen a generous increase in hourly rates along with the irreplaceable knowledge of safety around different aquatic environments, makes these courses a must have for the experienced swimmer!
